Delta Meets Delta!!
Once again our MANY Thanks goes out to Eva - our Airport Angel! Eva was kind enough to greet and clear customs with Delta last week after his arrival to the US.
Eva spent numerous hours at the airport waiting through booked, cancelled and re-booked flights. Due to the high heat Delta was not allowed on several flights. At 6:00 PM Eva finally brought Delta home for an over night visit and she was back at the airport for 3:30 AM to be sure Delta made a connection with an early morning flight to avoid the heat of the day. Thank you Eva for your tireless efforts to Delta and Military Mascots!! Thanks to Delta Airlines for their pre-cautions on a hot day to be sure Delta would be safe. Altho' he had to miss several flights it's nice to know these folks are doing their jobs and keeping animals safe during hot weather shipments.
Our heart-felt sympathies goes out to Delta's family, Delta made it safely out of Iraq......Sadly his "Dad" did not. Thank you Matt & Pam for watching over Delta.

Eva says Good-Bye to Delta at 3:43 AM!!
Delta hanging out in the air condition in Eva's truck hoping to catch the next flight home.

Delta spends the night with Eva and his stuffed baby!
Thank you from the K9 Teams in Kyrgyzstan
The K9's Kennel Master sends along their Thanks to all of you for your support!

"Thanks Bonnie. I am enjoying getting to know all of these people through email. You can not even imagine the excitement that we get when we get a care package from all of you. I think the dogs are even starting to get excited when they get some of the toys you all send. I can not tell you enough how much this means to all of us. It is nice to know that people back at home are thinking about us and care about what we are here for."
Update on Blue, Gracie & her pups -Still in Iraq
Many of you have asked about Blue, Gracie, her pups and their progress. As of June 13th all the dogs have been moved to a Safe Haven with an Iraqi family who is a friend of the their Soldier. We are still collecting donations for their care packs, Veterinarian care and their possible transport to the US somewhere down the line if it is in their best interests to be shipped.

You can follow their progress on the Senior Dog Project website at: http://www.srdogs.com/Pages/iraq.html
